LivingEnglish was founded in 1989 by Chris Heatley (MA). After graduating from Manchester University, Chris worked for a variety of businesses in England and on the Continent. He specialised in human resources management, industrial consultancy and has also run his own restaurants. Chris holds a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics and is fluent in French and German.
The current director of LivingEnglish , Susanne Müller-Menckens (MA, Dip Ed, Dip Psych), graduated from Hamburg University before embarking on her extensive teaching career which took her from Germany to Australia and the UK. As well as running her own language schools in Melbourne and London and teaching business clients Susanne has taught language courses at major universities and business schools in London: King's College, London Business School (LBS) and London School of Economics (LSE).
Susanne is particularly interested in learning psychology and cross-cultural issues and has given seminars at various companies and institutions. She has also published her own teaching materials and is currently developing e-learning courses.
